love this! penance doesnât take place on the internet, but the internet does form a large part of the story, and parts of the story are told through tumblr posts, dms, and online fanfiction!

I think Coldwire by Chloe Gong may fit, the characters live in a virtual reality world that they have to join
Hmm, I'm wondering if virtual reality might be better as it's own list since it's a little different thematically. I can suggest some if you want to make one :)
