i initially wanted to do a mutual 强制爱 list but i couldn’t even find a lot of popular 强制爱 novels on goodreads/pagebound, let alone freak4freak versions 😭 anyway recs are very welcome!!
p.s. 奇洛李维斯回信 / a letter from keanu reeves doesn't have any actual forced/coerced love, but they think about it so much i figure it has to count for something

hell yeah 😋 i've only read three on here so far, so i'm gonna rate them in order of how toxic they are:
- 情蛊 qing gu: hella toxic but SO GOOD. i thought the novel's writing is kinda mid (i listened to the audio-drama, which was way better), but the story itself is quite nice
- 我师弟还不杀我灭口 / my junior still hasn't killed me: there's an arc where the male lead kidnaps the protag and locks him up in their bed, but overall not that toxic
- 奇洛李维斯回信 / a letter from keanu reeves: the healthiest relationship in this entire list. it's so healthy that it shouldn't even be here at all, except they just keep thinking nonstop about locking the other up 🤭🤭

i think these all only have fan translations so far? except for the keanu reeves one, i'm not entirely sure if there's a complete translation for that at all oops. qing gu's translation can be found on knoxt, and the junior one is on exiled rebels scanlations (i don't have the best impression of their translations however so proceed with caution). also disclaimer that i read these novels in chinese, so i can't guarantee the translation quality unfortunately 😔
i think i’ll be okay. i need to get on my chinese learning game, but until then, cautioned english translations it is.
