Running Away or Running Home

Books I read when I was younger and wanted to run away. They made me feel strong when I was having a hard time at home. Recommendations for teens who feel lost alone sometimes.

Featuring: • Middle grade, YA, Adult • Female or non-binary protagonist who survives alone in the wild • Seeking family or escaping • Realism and SFF

I should start a list called “The Childhood Library in Our Parents’ Basement” or something like that

You totally should!!!!!

I tried making that list and realized there would be way too many in the category of childhood books. I made a list called Sword, Sorcery, and Lisa Frank instead.
