Books featuring characters who dislike wearing shoes. I'd like to keep this focused on characters who actually prefer walking barefoot instead of doing it for lack of access to suitable footwear, magic reasons, or because shoes are simply not widespread in their culture, but of course, these things might overlap. Suggestions to add/remove books are welcome, especially if you can provide a quote! I only had the source for one of these on hand and everything else comes from memory.
