Yay, this list made it to the voting đ
Yay! This one was my pick đââď¸ it's so hard with so many incredible choices, but this one just speaks to me đ§Ą
I nominated it too đ oh hence, it was picked!
Oh wow you nominated it! I'm glad! It deserves it so much. I would've loved to nominate lists, too, but I wasn't a supporter (ironic that I am one now hahaha)
Yay!!! Thank you both for picking this list!!!
Hamnet is the perfect fit for this list, such a beautiful book!
Can I recommend 'It Lasts Forever and Then It's Over' as well? (If you're ok with additions, of course). It deals heavily with grief as well.
Yes I love additions! Iâll add it, thank you!
This was such a beautiful book đ¸
Incredibly beautiful. I try to mention it as many times as I can đ.
So true. I think I heard about that book through the Ursula K. Le Guin Prize.
I wish I remembered where I heard about it. I think it was a booktok creator who recommended it among some other books. For all the flak that booktok gets, you can find some real gems out there if you look!
Did you readOn the Calculation of Volume I by Solvej Balle?
Oooh I remember this one from the 2025 International Booker Prize! I don't remember if it won, but it was one of the ones that interested me the most, though I'm now realizing I never put it in my TBR đŠ. Is it good?
Very good. I think you will like it.
I think we have similar tastes, so I'll trust you on it!
Three of the books I read are memoirs.
Didion, Brooks and Macdonald
I realised later that literary fiction might not have been the right title for this list? Maybe Iâll change it to literary writings?
Yes â or maybe one of these, if you think they are appropriate:
A Literary Journey Through Grief
Stories and Reflections on Grief
Love, Loss, and Life: A Reading List on Grief
Love these suggestions, thank you!!
This is weird. I tried editing twice, then deleted and posted again. I don't know why the "Grief" on the first one is not showing up...
They show up for me, the three titles have "Grief" at the end right?
Oh, you can see that!? Why can't I?
No clue! Maybe you'll see it if you exit the app, delete it from your recently used, and then open it again.
Yeah I can see it too!
Hello đđťđ¸ when you have a moment, please check if any of these titles are appropriate for this list. Thank you!
