This is a list of books that comment on human behavior and the society they live in it. So it includes dystopian societies books like 1984 and the Handmaid's tail, and commentary on people like crime and punishment (on how a murder eats a person from the inside out) and the secret history (the idealization of people + murder eating inside out). It's a mix of things that (IMHO) help understand the world around us.
