The only I thing I’ve read that might be relevant is James Gleick’s Chaos, but I read it so long ago that my memory might of it be way off.

ETA: It’s not a novel but also not an academic work at all.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am focusing on fiction on this list rn, maybe I'll put that in my hypothetical mathy non fiction 😺✨
