I haven’t seen Mandelo’s shorts before. Thanks for putting them on my radar!!

He’s the editor! So no short fiction by him sadly. As an author I’m only aware of his three trad-pubbed books

Ah! Thanks for clarifying. Still curious to look into. I think Mandelo would write some good shorts though.

In the lives of puppets, TJ klune has got some amazing funny sweet robots. Not so much the screen vibe but certainly robots.

This list is a great idea I love it. I’m gonna come back with all the recs after I think about it🙏🏻 ✨

Care to speak to the vibe more? Want to suggest aligned as much as possible 🙂‍↕️

hello! i would love recs! leaning towards scary/feeling out of your body/we're doomed (current titles have evil AI/AI slop hell/haunted spaceship AI, content moderation scaries) but i am excited to explore more.

made a list since i noticed a theme in my latest reads and wanted to start collecting!

Awesome, thanks. Well, for another AI ship thriller, I suggest: The Darkness Outside Us. But I wasn't sure it aligned with your vibe, since the AI wasn't integrated or whatever with the characters themselves. They mostly interact with it, and it controls the ship. Guess In The Lives of Puppets isn't the vibe either! You make me think of The Dream Hotel, which suite the vibe but not the theme. Cool! I'll be back. 🫡
