I recently decided to sit down and read as many Wonder Woman collections as possible. Like any multi-decade long superhero series, a majority of the books aren't great. I've tried to select books that have aged well (so, no racist caricatures), stories that focus more on mythology and superhero themes than romance (though I don't mind a bit of romance being in the mix), and, above all, fun stories with complex characters.

This list is very much a work-in-progress, and will be expanding as I read more (I'm very excited to get to Gail Simone's run in a few days). Here is a story-chronological list of the books:

Wonder Woman by George Perez Vol 1 (if you like it, vol 2-4 are also great)

Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman: Trinity

Wonder Woman vol 2: Ares Rising

Wonder Woman by John Byrne Vol 1 (Vol 2 is a fun follow-up)

Batman: False Faces

Wonder Woman By Greg Rucka Vol 1 (really, the entirety of Rucka's run, except the final volume, is really good)

Wonder Woman By Brian Azzarello & Cliff Chiang Compendium

Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman Vol 1

More to come!
