Not sure if you're open to additional recommendations for this list, but I read White Feminism: From the Suffragettes to Influencers and Who They Leave Behind by Koa Beck earlier this year and thought it was really good! Definitely better than other books I've read on the subject of white feminism, and I felt like the writing style was really accessible.
thank you for the rec!! i'm not adding anything to it right now 😉 but i will make a note of it! i actually initially had it on this list but felt like i had overrepresented the "against white feminism" type of book, and heard mixed reviews about that one, so removed it to replace with something else. thank you!!
That's totally fair! I haven't gotten around to White Tears/Brown Scars or Hood Feminism yet, so I couldn't compare it to either of those. Out of the 3 I have read: Against White Feminism: Notes on Disruption by Rafia Zakaria, The Trouble with White Women: A Counterhistory of Feminism by Kyla Schuller, and White Feminism... by Koa Beck, I definitely liked Beck's the most.
that helps to know thank you!! there's def room to add more later down the line, right now i'm keeping it at 40 books for reasons, but your info will not be forgotten i promise
They Said This Would Be Fun: Race, Campus Life, and Growing Up by Eternity Martis might fit this list.
Fetishized: A Reckoning with Yellow Fever, Feminism, and Beauty by Kaila Yu as well
thank you, i'll make a note of it!
Sorry, just added another because I forgot!
ooo yes good rec, i've had my eye on that one for a bit. thank you!!
Interesting read, looking forward to your thoughts when you are done!
