I sometimes love this trope, but also hate it at the same time, but figured I’d make a list of the ones I liked.

Shout out to Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake for making me not ALWAYS hate this trope lol
Great description for this list 😂 and thank you for identifying the titles that you liked
Do you have any recs I should add?
I don't think I've read any other than one historical from around 1990 that I wouldn't recommend for this list. But I hear how much people dislike this trope! I'm really enjoying the Fated Mates episode about Romance Baby (which is about parenting, but that's close) so I'll need to try one of the titles on your list.
I recommend Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake the most. It’s the book that made me open to this trope.
Ranking: Lizzie Blake’s Out on a Limb Nine Month Contract One Moment Please
I also feel like the first three are the best entry points into this trope. One Moment Please is great, but it has some trigger warnings in the male lead’s past. Still totally happily ending, but I always tear up a little reading it. But it definitely has the best finding out their pregnancy because they find out when she is his patient in the ER months after a one night stand.😅😱🫠
It’s like sometimes this trope makes me wanna bash my head into a wall, but when it hits, it hits!! 🫠😅
