which of these do you consider the best, if any? I read Alive and it's still one of my absolute favorite books. I own Miracle in the Andes and I've thought about reading other accounts
i've currently only read alive and out of the silence; i plan to read into the mountains by pedro algorta after my current nonfiction read (which apparently i neglected to add to this list? i'll correct that after writing this comment). i do think alive is probably the 'best' and i understand why it's considered the most definitive account, but out of the silence was very impactful and i loved reading it; something about exploring the tragedy through the words of an actual survivor just hits different
thank you for the rec! I'll have to check those out! I'm curious to see how the perspectives and recollections differ, especially among the survivors who played different roles
