I am very open to suggestions. I need more books like these!

I would also like to plead my case for the inclusion of the Pentecost and Parker series (the first being Fortune Favors the Dead) by Stephen Spotswood. The series is being narrated by Willowjean Parker, the assistant to 1940's New York's best private detective, Lillian Pentecost. LP definitely has the brilliant Sherlock mind going on, and WP is very much involved in the cases but also writing her boss's memoirs while recounting particular cases. In addition to tons of queer rep, LP has MS, and there are other characters who fall into minorities.

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. I recently finished the most recent book in the series (5th) and cannot wait for the next one.

You are so welcome! I also have a queer detectives list if you are interested in ones that aren't specifically Sherlock Holmes inspired.
