I’m not sure I’m smart enough for this collection. I’ve been reading each poem three times and gleaning very little from them.

I think perhaps I prefer poetry with a little more direct style, or perhaps I prefer reading poetry in a university classroom with a be-speckled professor guiding me along the way and saying things like “and do you think the broken vase could be a metaphor for her womb?”
