I don't understand: if Lakan is MaoMao's father, why did he spend ten years trying to convince the head of the brothel to sell her to him?? Ten years before she was roughly 7 years old, he could have simply taken her with him or visit her and build a relationship. I'm confused... hopefully I'll get the answers later on!
