I had taken the day off from work to make sure Bahar was settled and as I walked home, I found myself circling the blocks incessantly. I hoped Bahar would be alright ion the new school, but I was filled with worry for her.

I love how this exactly mirrors what Homa did when Bahar first went to school as child - even down to circling the school/block. It almost feels like Ellie is a replacement mother for Bahar whilst she's in her care and replicating what Homa would have done in this situation without even realising it. Ellie's genuine care and worry for Bahar is beautiful here.
