I know people find Ellie annoying but I can’t imagine what it must be like to grow up with only the parental influence of a vapid narcissist who deeply cares about elitism and social status. I think I feel bad for her more than I find her annoying. I know this is gonna be a hot take but it’s like two sides of the same coin. Ellie is definitely privileged in all the traditional ways and it certainly is a privilege to say “this doesnt affect me in my life so while I would love for change I don’t have to be the one to make it happen.” On the other hand, it’s also a privilege to be raised by parents who tell you that you can be anything or accomplish anything, and teach you to speak your mind and fight for what you believe. I’m team Homa don’t get me wrong, but I empathize with Ellie who’s been conditioned to see her self worth in a certain way and to distrust everyone.

She gathered Kaz’s secrets and kept them as well. Jesper tried to ignore the pang of jealousy he felt at that.

The crew’s edges are sharpening and those found family sparks are starting to show. It’s getting interesting in a quiet, dangerous way, and I’m ready for the plan to start moving!

Jurda parem seems to be one hell of a drug. One dose is enough to make a Grisha addicted? And the way it amplifies/changes the Grisha's powers? Imagine going from creating currents to changing your own physical state. Or from healing to mind control.
