I Honestly don't blame you at all. It took so long for my library reservation to be available that I had to finish it as matter of principle! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

I enjoyed Blake and Wyatt’s chemistry and how they grew to overcome their baggage and poor communication. The desire they felt for one another was powerful and the reason they felt they couldn’t be with each other felt realistic to me - this made for an interesting read.

However, it seems like the book was made to be a standalone novel, but there was a lot of references and call backs to previous books in the same universe that left me feeling alienated from the plot. This resulted in a few subplots that felt unnecessary for me and just added to the length of the book. I wouldn’t have taken much issue with this if the story made it clear - even a mention in the blurb would have done wonders!

I wish they leaned into the families wealth a lot more and just accepted that this is part of the fantasy of the story - I really didn’t like the characters hand waving away the privilege they have. I don’t want to hear how these characters feel like they aren’t spoiled when they’re staying in their family owned multi million dollar housing complex. It misses the mark and just leaves me resenting these characters that I want to be rooting for.

Overall, I found that the romance between our two MCs of this books was definitely its strong point. It’s not necessary, but I would recommend to read some of the previous books in this universe which would definitely add to the enjoyment.

I wasn’t expecting so many different perspectives, but it’s not as jarring as I thought. I will say though, there are so many terms to remember 😭 my head is swirling
