There is something about being a teenager to an emotionally immature parent that brings out the worst in them. Almost everyone i know has a similar (but different) expierence with their parents where eventually things turned physical and it's almost always the "breaking point" where the parent blames the child for being impossible and ungrateful for the fact that the parents life was ruined because of them, especially the only or oldest child.
It's just so relatable and depressing. I wonder if the parent envies the freedom they see in front of their child and have regrets for the way they raised the child knowing they will lose that control.
