Today is World Suicide Prevention Day!
Sending extra love to everyone who has been impacted by suicide in any shape or form. I hope your day is filled with hope, joy, gentleness, restfulness, and care. Thank you for choosing to stay another day! I feel infinite gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of your reading community!
A more selfish request on my part, does anyone have any suggestions for books that include the topic of suicide, preferably by BIPOC authors?
I’ve recently read “I Hope We Choose Love: A Trans Girl's Notes from the End of the World” by Kai Cheng Thom and this is the first time I’ve read about suicide in a book before and was hoping to find more books!
And if you don’t have any suggestions, I’d love to learn about any other mental health related books that you’ve enjoyed! Or any other books that have brought you comfort during hard times!
I hope you’re having a great day/night!
