Do I recognize that Diem has basically been in fight or flight mode on the verge of a panic attack for the whole book? Yes

But also literally every time she says “I don’t need a guard I’ll be fine alone” something bad happens and the fact that she hasn’t noticed this pattern is pretty infuriating
