A hot take but at this point is it fair to call Diem morally grey? I know she doesn’t see herself that way and we are often told about her goodness, but every time she is given the option of “lose one person you love to save the world” she chooses to save that person, even knowing that many people will die as a direct result of that choice.
This latest refusal to kill Ophiucae despite knowing that the result is guaranteed to be many lives lost, and the fact that while she is deliberating she stabs a mortal man who runs up on her makes me feel like the Morally Grey label actually fits really well.
