What books do you keep or get rid of?

I've always been pretty good at getting rid of books I didn't like or ones I know I'd never get around to, but I still have so many! (250+ physical tbr) so I'm always trying to decide if some of the books I've already read are worth keeping. I get rid of the books I didn't like or ones that were ok but I know they would be at the bottom of the list for being re read. If I figure out I don't like an author, I pass along all of their books if I own any. I know too many books isn't a bad problem to have but I am seriously running out of space. Some of my shelves are starting to be double stacked, I have stacks on the ladder to my loft that I have to move to and from the ladder to desk then back to ladder every morning and night, I have a book chest that is full and also has multiple stacks on top of it... it's not ideal. I know there's more books that I could get rid of but I'm just not sure how to decide. I'm sentimental about the books I like but at the same time I know that at this point they are just shelf trophies and are collecting dust when someone else could be reading and enjoying them, and I know I'd probably never read some of them again. I'm tempted to only keep the books that I really really loved (and maybe the ones I absolutely hate to put on the shelf of shame) and just get rid of all the ones I thought were just ok.

Right now I'm reading one of the grishaverse books, and even tho I'm liking the six of crows duology so far I don't know if I should keep it. I know I probably shouldn't keep the S&B trilogy because I didn't really like it but I'm still not sure. How do you decide what books to keep or get rid of?? I feel like I need to be more strict with what I keep on my shelves.
