I really enjoyed this book overall, I think it was a unique concept that was well executed by the author. I love the idea of having basically a coming of age story with an 89 yr old protagonist. There was a good amount of humor and heartfelt moments throughout which definitely kept me engage. There were also some super cliched moments that took me out of the story a bit but I didn’t find them too distracting. The pacing also felt bit rushed at times but I enjoyed how the author explored experiences of grief

✨Disability Representation✨
These are fiction stories that feature a character with a disability, either visible or invisible. The focus is on books that may not be considered “disabled stories” but rather books that have their own story and plot and just so happen to have a disabled character. ✅ The Notebook: A romance that features a character with Alzheimer’s ❌ The Fault in our Stars: Plot focuses heavily on their struggle w cancer. Suggestions welcome 🤗

This was basically just an okay read. I did really like all the witchy information throughout like ingredients for different teas or tonics and I overall enjoyed the characters. Plot wise it was just a bit too slow for me and although I enjoyed the story there wasn’t anything that really drew me in and or kept me wanting more

For a debut novel I thought this was fantastic! I was thoroughly invested in the story from start to finish and I was rooting for the main characters the whole way through. I thought the mystery was great and there were some elements I kind of guessed but I never got it quite on the nose which I appreciate in a mystery. I also liked the way the author handled some of the heavier topics of the story. Overall this felt like a very well thought out story with complex characters that kept me on the edge of my seat
