Romance is my favorite genre! The DARKER the BETTER. Examples: Stalker, Possessive, and heavy jealously scenes. Toxicity is where I live. It's FICTIONAL.

Most of this book felt painfully dull. The storytelling came across as convoluted and confusing, which made it hard to stay engaged. By the time the twist arrived, I didn’t care enough for it to have any impact.

    This book felt surface-level.

It raised several serious issues, most notably Prue’s mother’s dementia and the emotional toll on Prue and her father, But was glossed over.

At the beginning the stress and strain clearly was evident, yet once Milo appeared those stresses were ignored.

Milo’s pattern of running from relationships is never meaningfully addressed; his attraction to Prue feels sudden and unrealistically transformative.

The nickname he uses for her is awkward and cringeworthy, and Milo himself comes across as immature—obsessed with his sexual exploits and behaving like a fuckboy

This one dragged for me at times, but the central mystery kept me invested. The story is told through a unique lens that added depth, which I really appreciated.

That said, the pacing felt uneven. So many troubling events were unfolding at once that it became hard to keep track of everything happening in this small town.

Overall, a solid concept with an interesting perspective.

Sad to say, this was my least favorite of the series.

The throuple dynamic didn’t work for me. I usually enjoy poly relationships in fiction, but this one didn’t feel genuine or well-developed. One of the MMCs also came across as unsettling, and the “bad dad” angle wasn’t appealing.

My biggest issue, though, was the lack of supes. The story leaned heavily into interstellar beings, which wasn’t what I was hoping for.

Overall, I’m disappointed I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the others.

My 7th ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of the Year Book two in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, and I’m even more invested in these characters.

Princess Donut’s development made me love her more, but Carl is still my standout.

The way he thinks, plans, and cares for those around him makes him incredibly compelling—honestly, one of the sexiest characters I’ve read.

I can’t wait to continue the series

My 6th ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of the year. This book was a delight. It handled grief and romance beautifully, and I loved how the friends-to-lovers trope was woven into the story. I found myself crying through several sections.

What made it truly romantic was how deeply they understood each other. They could simply be themselves and instinctively knew what the other person needed.

    I’m a little jealous.
