It's interesting to see how she wants so badly to do things and just not let herself. I hope she finally just lets loose and does something simply because it's fun at some point.

Very cute so far. I like that it uses fantasy creatures instead of people, I enjoy that aspect of it. I can see that there is a lot of set up for character development from the fmc.

I know people say they like this book the least out of her books but it's genuinely really good. I think the only reason people like this one less is because it's the only one of her stories that doesn't involve books in some way. This one is surrounding music, which some people will understand while others don't. With her other books, it's safe to assume if a person is reading it then they have some kind of love for reading and therefore can connect with the book. I feel like that might be the reason for the treatment of this story compared to her other ones.

I really love the way that the author writes characters that are realistic and multifaceted. Joni is an incredible main character to follow because she feels very grounded and her relationship with Sasha is so heartwarming to see how they both grow as people. Like with all of her books, the story follow us with not just the main characters love story but also with a deeper message about love and loss and grief. She writes love not just romantically but familiar love and platonic love in such a wonderful and caring way. All of her books have such an amazing perspective on what love is and how love impact our lives. I feel like people aren't as interested in this story maybe because it's not about books like her other works are, but even without that connecting aspects to the book world and readers it is still an incredible story. The love story is cute and heartwarming and has amazing banter and chemistry between the mmc and fmc. I am still waiting on the day she writes a sapphic romance because I know that day is the day that I will cry tears of joy. I love her writing and this book has just solidified for me that she is a must buy author and I will be reading all the works in the future too.

First of all, Jo and Sasha are so damn funny. I love them so far. Second of all, ANOTHER IWAN MENTION!?!? We are being spoiled rotten in this book.

I enjoyed this book a lot, the relationship between Petra and Vy was compelling and the world building is easily understood. I can see a lot of the stories and plot lines that are being set up for future books in the series. On that note, this did feel more like an origin story than anything else. The actions in the book did have some consequences but it's clear that the whole story only really starts at the end. I felt the ending was a little bit rushed, but it did round out pretty well. I'd like to see some characters we meet in the book to be more present in later books because I think fleshing out their characters would be really interesting to read.

I wish we saw more of his internal dialogue, not just the bits that he's DIRECTED to her. I wanna know the thoughts he doesn't want to share.
