Finally stumbled into the second issue of W.I.T.C.H. so I can continue from where I left! Despite its magical girl genre, the topic of suddenly getting powers is taken surprisingly seriously. I enjoy the down to Earth approach these young girls have towards their new reality while still being girls. It's a refreshing mix of whimsy and seriousness.
Devastated over Hay Lin's grandma. Even nowadays I'm still weak towards predictable plots like this lmao... I have a mushy heart, what can you do.
Onto the next one!

I had a blast with this one! I'm once again fascinated by how well handled the group is, balancing these girls' daily life and their magical shenanigans. We get to experience the Metaworld for the first time and it's such an interesting view. The lead villains remind me a lot of a villain of the week in Dragon Ball (And I say this with nothing but love in my heart.)
Needless to say, I'm delighted with every new fact that comes to light. This would make an amazing light novel too, btw. Regardless, I look forward to continuing onwards!

Completely unserious to call a chapter "New room, who this." Commit to the bit and write it as "dis" like a MAN. (Love it.)

LMAOOOOOO Chuck. That phrase? In this year of our Lord? Owen truly is one of us. (A huge f*cking nerd.)

"It didn't matter; she was happy—she craved, desired happiness—maybe for the very first time."
It's been such a long time since I read something from a latam author; it's incredible how visible it is in the writing, the setting. It feels like home (Quite literally, the author is Argentine-Brazilian!) I really enjoyed my time in this world. And got a little crush on Quaint because I'm not immune to vampire propaganda. Sue me.
Not the kind of story I normally venture into, but it was fun to do so still! We have horrors beyond my comprehension, tender bits of romance, the looming threat of corrupt politicians, the whole shebang. Definitely recommend it.
