My first romantasy and it did not disappoint. Kadeesha was fierce, headstrong and only strengthened by her love for her Nkita and desire to protect her people by any means.

Buckle up because this one is a WILD ride for sure!! If you're a fan of 10,000 Hours with a Rich Menace or Demon's Dreams you definitely need to pick this one up.

I loved Menace!! Him and Stevie were both different in there own ways, and some found them hard to love, but they were ultimately perfect for one another. Menace and his absurd questions had me genuinely laughing out loud at times. I didn't want this story to end.

I really wanted to know what all of the hype surrounding this book was about and 402 pages later I can confidently say I still don't get it. Unnecessary drama caused by clear lack of communicate OF ANY SORT was the main trope in this book and I just didn't get it. I read a good bit of dark romance and really wanted to enjoy this, but it was lacking and I don't foresee myself finishing the other books in this series.

I'm 30% in and it's just not clicking yet. Tell me does it get better or should I go ahead and quit while I'm ahead? I feel like I needed a bit more background story on the town before we just jumped into things, and now I'm just a little confused.
Post from the Shadowed Obsession forum
I picked up Shadow Obsession because I loved Elevator Pitch by this author. I know this is her first attempt venturing into the dark, stalker, romantic comedy and I just don't know if I can finish it. Don't get me wrong I love all of these tropes, but all together it's a bit too much. Also the use of "first incident", "fifth incident" etc. to mark the time got old pretty quickly. So someone please, does it get better?

Damn you Janil L. Seegar and I thought it couldn’t get any better!! The displays of love and intimacy in part 3 has me mourning a love I’ve yet to experience. A perfect ending to a love story I didn’t want to end.
