An introduction to the Fantasy genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

I can't believe the choice at the end. Can't help but enjoy the fighting though. not as good as the others but still great

Not sure how I feel about this one yet, on the one hand I loved the action but I really didn't like how Cade was acting like a jerk for the entire book. I'll have to think on it

This concept is so sick. A katana for a weapon is awesome. The mystery of who is behind it all. God it's so good. Taran is definitely my favorite author. please read the summoner series.

This was such a disappointing conclusion. They were trying to focus on too much and it came across as confusing. I was having a tough time even picturing these as the same characters as the original series. I'm so upset

This felt so far removed from the other three that it feels like it should be it's own series. I read it directly after the third and still felt very confused. I liked the characters and powers but still didn't really understand how it was connected.

Literally so much better than the first. The whole concept is sick. Liked it so much part of Seph's story is used for my dnd character. Great characters and love how it links to the first. Amazing

I don't know what it is about her writing style that makes me need to take breaks but it's actually so frustrating. I love the book and the story and characters but the writing is tough for me

The best character was definitely Elaine. #1 hands down. I don't feel like a prequel was necessary but the series is much better. Better to read this after the series

My overall favorite part of the series has been the thoughts of the demons. I love the description of their minds and connection. I still love how mana works in these books and how its used. Definitely a great read.

Definitely my favorite of the series. Love getting to read the descriptions of the demons. My only gripe is that it gets very hard to remember all of the characters by the last book. I feel like I had forgotten so many people by the end of this book.
