De Daffodil herberg is het tweede deel in de Cinnamon Falls serie van R.L. Killmore. Ik was weer erg benieuwd naar deze cosy murder mystery en kon dan ook niet wachten om in dit boek te duiken. Maar wat zal dit verhaal zijn lezers gaan brengen?

De Daffodil herberg is als standalone te lezen, maar sluit ook goed aan op Cinnamon Falls. Waar de romance in Cinnamon Falls afleidend was, was deze in De Daffodil herberg perfect door het verhaal heen geweven. Ook is er in dit boek meer ruimte voor een murder mystery doordat de dader veel langer geheim blijft.

Immortal Secrets is the second part of the Chronicles of the Immortal Trials. I couldn’t wait to continue in the story of Ambrose since Immortal Origins was one of my favorite books of 2025. The synopsis already sounds really promising, but what will this sequel bring to it’s readers?

This book is yet again really amazing! After the slight disappointment from Immortal Flame Taryn is back at it again. Immortal Secrets is yet again one of the best fantasy books I have read this year and I truly devoured it!

A book with cosy bookish vibes and mysterious bad boys, sign me up! After reading Bookwyrm Acquisitions I was really excited to continue the Book Hoard Collective series, in which you’ll follow Camilla. The synopsis is promising, but will this book be just as good? Due to the attacks being more often, the mystery in the storyline only grows. I loved getting to know Camilla and her friends even better.

Immortal Flame is the first novella in the Chronicles of the Immortal Trials. This book takes place during Immortal Origins and is told from Akadian's POV. Immortal Origins was one of my favorite books of 2025, but will this novella be just as good?

Due to only the most important scenes being added I felt like I sometimes missed the magical spark in Immortal Flame. Taryn Knightly does have an amazing writing style, and even in this novella the slow burn romance and magic is clearly present. Nevertheless I feel like I expected a bit more from this novella, since it just wasn't as good as Immortal Origins.
