This book felt like watching a sports anime in the best way possible. A sapphic hockey romance with well-fleshed out characters, a good bit pf hockey ,where I felt like the characters actually feel in love organically .I was giggling for half of the book. Miss sprinkle really outdid herself with this one.

The writing was so descriptive that at first I thought I was going to get sick of it but I did not , it helped me understand the characters more. I saw what the characters saw ,I smelled what the characters smelled, I felt what the characters felt. So I was immersed in the story. So invested in them.

We learn about those characters so organically , it’s not like the author gives us a two page monologues of the characters . No we learn their quirks and their personality as the book go on and I liked it . The characters were so well fleshed out , they felt so real and were so relatable. i love them a lot. Because I was so interested in the character, I was even more interested in their romance.

The pace at which those characters fell in love was so good. they're frienenemies first and then they start spending more time with each other, communicating with each other (so well ) and just understanding one another. It felt so realistic, you can tell when infatuation becomes love.

The banter in this book is unparalleled , I was giggling , kicking my feet in the air( really). The mouth on miss Peyton. PHEW. It never felt cringey or out of place , it was just so perfect. This book was such a fun time
