Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

I'm utterly speechless.
It took me a long time to read this book because I knew it was going to be hard to let go of those characters. And I was right. I still can't believe that I won't ever read about Priya and Malini again after this. That being said, compared to all the other books, this book is my least favorite out of the trilogy because I feel the ending wasn't jarring enough. I wanted to gasp, but that did not happen.
I also felt like Malini's character did a 180 around 75% of the book. I think this change was supposed to emphasize how much Malini loved Priya, especially after the stunt she pulled in the second book, but it's watered down her character. And made me believe less in their "love story.
Still love this series but was really disappointed at the finale.
