Quick overview
In this book we follow Devi, who has been kidnapped and discovers her captor has put her life up for sale in a sinister online auction. In order to survive, she is forced to narrate the story of her "seven lives," detailing her journey from the very beginning of her life right up to her present nightmare.
My review
I loved this one. Each life she lived got more and more interesting, making it impossible to put the book down. The story builds incredible momentum as it goes, and I really did not see that ending coming! It was a fantastic read from start to finish.

In this book we follow Odette and her best friend Cecilia, whose lives are changed when Odette's mother, Lydia, unexpectedly dies. As Odette spirals into grief, her cruel aunt Claudine takes control of the household and is soon announced as Odette's new stepmother. A presence awakens in their manor as Odette realises her mother's ghost never truly left and is demanding revenge.
My review
This was a good book, and I loved that it was different from what I normally read. However, I felt like I was wanting more the whole time. I definitely got the gothic feel, but I was constantly searching for a stronger horror element. The story had the perfect backdrop for it with the ghost involved, but it never quite made it there. It is definitely a solid pick if you are looking for a historical, atmospheric gothic read.

In this book we follow Reya, a thief known as the Crimson Dagger, and Caelan, an immortal warrior cursed to die. When Caelan hires Reya to carry out an impossible heist and steal a cure to save his life, they are forced to go on a dangerous journey together.
My review
This book started off strong and gave me high hopes right from the beginning. My only issue is that it felt a bit long, it could have been shorter and still delivered a great read. Despite the length, the ending was good and wrapped things up well. I enjoyed it overall and will be reading the next book in the series.

In this book we follow Sierra, a former Olympic figure skater dealing with panic attacks after an accident, and Dylan, a hockey player whose reckless behavior gets him kicked off his team. Dylan's only chance to get back on the ice is to become Sierra's new figure skating partner, they are forced to work together.
My review
This was a good book, but it helped me realize why this series is not super high on my list. The couples are way too perfect. Dylan and Sierra fit together so easily that it leaves only little bits of tension to drive the plot. I need more trauma or deeper backstories to help me connect with the characters. It is a solid read and I enjoyed it, but I need more conflict and emotional stakes to give this series a higher rating.
