I am so happy that we got a book for Rian! I was so curious and excited to see more of him after all the complex relationship with Cillian during his book and I needed to see more of them as a family and Rian finding happiness again. And I think someone that wanted so much to feel loved for the first time catching his attention...perfect mix, because Rian loves unconditionally and obsessively - imagine Abbots luck!! Loved seeing more of Rian and C's friendship too. There's something brewing in the background that could be potentially dangerous in the long run, so I'm excited to see where this goes in the next books.

I was craving something with vampires and this one gave me everything to me after missing the vampiric companion. It gave me a story with a quest, with two completely different people fighting to what they want and a setting beautifully crafted as a background. Dante is a devious and sweet sometimes vampire(hello Lestat hehe) that wants to get rid of his eternal "gift" and Ariya is someone who grew up being forged to battle against the eternal creatures...but when these two clash, oh boy, I adored their banter and their fights, and in the end they join hands for the "greater good" and "for what they want". Going though this quest will make them see each other in a different light and I can't wait to read more of them in the next volume(and final.)

I think that books that show this level of partnership and understanding are so important to the world that it made my heart warm while reading it. Rory and Kieran are two character so different but that carry similar scars and similar blockages/walls. Their forces combined made them start to heal after years of the demons hunting each step or in the background of their lives. One small detail that stole my heart completely: Kieran's dogs. There's something so telling about a character who loves and cares for animals that way, it added this extra layer of softness to him, and it made his bond with Rory feel even more real. Watching the three of them (Rory, Kieran, and the dogs) slowly become a unit, a found family of sorts, was one of my favorite parts of the whole book. I adored this book because the writing is fluid, the pacing is on point, and the setting is beautiful. And not only these points, but the characters made everything piece together like a beautiful painting. I know I'm being flowery with the words, but this book really made me emotional , and that kind of partnership, the kind that's built on patience and choosing each other every day, is something I wish I saw more often in books.

I liked the way it described Oren's PTSD after the car crash and him dealing with therapists and moving on. Will was a perfect match for him, they were what they were looking in life and it was beautiful to watch them fall for each other.

Javier and Carlo are everything, I really liked the characters and their dynamic (especially after the second half). The plot is great too, I guess the only thing I had a little of a problem was the pacing - or how things were very quick to happen like in a paragraph something happens and then on the next "months passed" and I don't like this kind of transition.

Delphine is such a strong character, I loved her softness and her fierness. And when paired with Jericho's personality they fit so well together. This book made me so eager to keep going with the series and some revelations made me gasp.

Fate is such a real and complicated person that I felt so eager to see where her journey led her, especially when the story starts with her soet of "erasing" part of herself to try and figure it out the future. I guess we all in a way do that to try to find a place where we belong or that calls to us and it was magical her finding her path. Things always leds us to the right path even th start was sort of messy. Leslie and Fate friendship and more was pivotal for us to see how the past has layers and teachings that sometimes we take time to realize (honestly, Leslie was such a sweetheart and dream man even with complex family drama). It has adevnture, drama, magic, friendships in unusual people and people that dream to find their path.

(The Blood magic worlbuild was so creative and perfect for the story as well as thinking about the days we are living)
