Chap 9 Pg 172 “She agreed completely, especially after realizing that her libido was shot,”

Ok so I almost didn’t read this book as the first few pages made it clear it’s written by a man & the misogynist crap is so annoying, but I pushed past & very quickly started to enjoy it. However, every so often there’s something that comes back up in that vein & I’m starting to think I should DNF & skip this series. I mean come on, a FMC who wakes up in a completely new world, is struggling to find info, food, shelter, other people & yet we’re supposed to believe that she would even think about her libido🤦‍♀️ why do men think like this?? Why do they always have to write females in such a ridiculous manner?! It’s such a let down & I’m getting to the point in life where I don’t even want to read male authors as it’s beyond irritating to me that the large majority of them are such misogynists!

This was just ok. It started off rough, started to pick up in the middle, then fell off the last 25% or so. It was odd to me that the beginning seemed like a different story line, & then there were a couple little blips of it jumping back to that but the majority of the book was focused on the FMC. Not sure if that storyline picks up further along or if it just disappears & prob won’t continue the series either way.

While I really enjoyed the first several books of this series, it started to decline to me by the forth & this one was the worst & last for me. I’d noticed a shift in the perspective & focus earlier but it seems so much more extreme to me this time around. It felt like a dry retelling of events from the MC, more like a general overview whereas in earlier books it was as if everything was happening in real time to the MC & we were along for the ride. Now there’s barely any character interactions & I miss the dialogue & other personalities/perspectives. Several of the characters & their storylines have just fallen off or changed drastically with little to no insight. I loved the overall concept & world but won’t bother with anymore of these.

This was a fun, quick read. I definitely enjoyed the animals & the ethical considerations which not only created humorous situations/characters, but has deeper potential ideology. The plot was fun, while I figured it out fairly quickly I can also see how it would be a good twist for others.
