Taking inspiration from another post (I don't remember the user I'm sorry T-T) and many discussions with my mom, I realize how sacred maintaining my bookshelf is, like an at home retreat. My bookshelf is my pride and joy. Placed where it's the pinnacle of my home upon entering, rearranged and cleaned at least once a month. Always looking at it and planning how I want to design it next on the next arrangement. How do you guys like your shelves to look? Is there a specific categorization? A specific vibe or aesthetic? Do you like it neat and uniform or more eclectic and wilder? Display books? Nic-knacks and trinkets? Pictures are welcome (I may take inspiration on my next scheduled date with my shelves).

Do yall have a favourite word and get really excited when you see it written in a book because most of my kindle highlights are either the word petrichor or iridescent? Petrichor is also my favourite smell in the world 🌧️☀️and iridescent is just a fabulous word 💜💙🩷
What are everyone’s favourite words (in any language) and do feel free to leave the definitions too because we can all learn some new words today ✨
Have a lovely Sunday whatever you’re doing ✨

Bonjour dear Boudlings ! I am keeping a diary where I write all the books I have read and overline the one that I liked and wish I could have in my physical bookshelves the day I will move in my true home (you know the student life where you can move for your studies at any moment and books are wheighting waaaay too much for a moving day)... I am keeping this habit since 2016 ! It means I wrote all the books I have read since 10 years ! I would loved to have started this habit way back and this way I could have the titles of all the books I read when little and frustrated because I could only take 10 books per week at my local library, a true reading danger 😆 Do you have a physical place where you keep track of all your readings ? You know in case some mysterious day goodreads or pagebound crash and you can't access these informations anymore ? (yah I have a little fear of forgetting things so multiplying the sources is great and the dopamine high when updating all these sources ahah) Since when are you keeping this habit ? If you just started reading or keeping track of your reading please please keep going ! One day you will look at your little notebook and thanks your 10 year younger self !! Happy reading to you all 🌞

I am sick of reading romance stories of teenagers falling in love in unatural ways and always the same dynamics in the relationship between a white "powerful" man and the "in need for help desperate" white girl.. Do you have any recommandations of books where we can follow a couple and maybe be bored by their life because love is not alwyas butterflies and fireworks, I love Sally Rooney for that but already devoured all her books :(

A book I wish I had the time to read in one sitting because I think it would have helped my understanding of the story, I am always too naive to understand that I am not reading a trustful narrator, I don't think I liked it but the analyses of human behavior is interesting
