Okay rival wizards story?? I ate this UP. I thought it was just gonna be a fun enemies/rivals-to-lovers wizard book and then suddenly I’m sobbing my eyes out trying not to cry as i listen to this at work😭.
I loved Sebastian and Etethior’s relationship so much, especially seeing them slowly fall for each other over time. Watching Seb gradually trust Etethior enough to open up about his family and why he held so much resentment was sooo good. And finding out what Seb and Orok actually went through?? Yeah that destroyed me emotionally. I genuinely did not expect this book to hit that hard. When Etethior stood up to his family I legit said tell them pookie tell those asshats.
I also really loved that when Seb’s family finally learned the truth, they actually felt guilty and didn’t just brush aside everything he went through. That made those moments hit even harder. Cause what he went through was so much and he needed the people around him to support him instead of thinking the worst of him.
And the banter?? Legit top tier. Orok was also such a real one for always being there for Seb after everything they both survived. Their friendship was one of ny favorite things about the book.I seriously can’t wait to read Orok’s story next.

I love Asher Dalton so freaking much. When I first read Puckboys ( this was before i discovereda while universe of book seires) , I never really got a full read on Asher as a person, but his book told me everything I needed to know about him. There were so many moments where I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him its okay and that he wasnt a terrible person.
Kole was literally made for him. He showed Asher that he wasn’t broken and that he wasn’t a bad person, no matter how many people judged him off first impressions without ever giving him a real chance. The way that he would only show people his worst cause he didnt want to break down in front of others and felt the need to lash out. I also loved that they didn’t jump straight into a relationship. They were friends first, and I think that made their connection feel so much deeper.
Kole was basically the only person Asher could fully be himself around. He could finally let his guard down, cry, and stop holding everything in all the time. And thanks for making me cry during the bus scene because I was actually sobbing for Asher and wanted to give him the biggest hug known to man. Wes also the way that hes legit taking care of 6 other people and than also takes care of himself hes such a strong person.
Also, funniest moment ever was Asher finding out Ezra slept with his brother — his reaction had me dying. Makes sense now why Asher hated him so much lmaooo. And I loved how Kole never backed down from Asher, even when Asher was being an asshole. He saw there was more to him than what everyone else saw and trusted that the real Asher underneath it all was worth loving. Cant wait to read Wes and Jaspers story 😌😌.
