Ok so contrary to the title a cover, if you perceived this to be a paranormal haunting you will be severely mistaken. This is a mystery crime thriller with a killer on the loose and a teen girl at its center. We start a year after the deadly events of a murder spree done by out FMC's *ex* boyfriends father. The town is still getting over the murders when dead bodies start to show up once more. The ending of this book was phenomenal. One of Natasha's best books in a while! I do have to say the reveal doesn't make a whole lot of sense where the identity of victims come into play but was still great and honestly again the ending made my mouth drop. It's the kinda to make you turn the page and be surprised there is no more but enough that you are satisfied with the results!

I'm so sorry This was probably one of the worst omegaverse books I've read in a while :( This took me so long to read because of the constant time and plot jumps! We follow Nora, who was trained to be the "perfect omega" but struggling to find her true pack. When she scent matches with an alpha at a random bar, she begins to learn that things aren't what they seem. Pretty much everything she was trained for was submission and obedience to the highest level of tradwife. My issue is the fact that there are huge time jumps during the most important times. She is taken back and reprogrammed but her pack does nothing to stop it and practically just lets them. And when they get her back, she overcomes that sexual assault trauma with no problems. None. Not even a mention! It's just glazed over. And don't get me started on the three month jump to a totally fake trial that would never have happened if the clinic had released a statement and provided lawyers to the case at hand. The alphas were unlikable too like chase I wanted to punch his guts out he was so annoying and everyone else just blended in. My favorite part was Levi the alpha starting a relationship with the beta Joey in a submissive role. That was literally the only saving grace of this novel.

Ummm is this the right book? This is a murder mystery so far not a paranormal haunting LMAO (I have purely judged this book based on the title and cover) Enjoying it so far anyway tho!

This book was... not good? At face value we follow a girl with powers living in hiding who is captured and forced to join a program for elite soldiers. But once you start to dig in further with question like why? And what even is this world? And how did this even start? You won't find a single thing. But the main thing you do know is peoples arms glow when they use their powers. Everyone except the FMC of course. There's just no explanation for this toxin or disease the some people are immune to and others develop powers?? Why did it happen? Why is it so ambiguous with the powers is gives? The world is like a combo or Divergent/The Fifth Wave/Fourth Wing all smashed into one cringy novel. And don't get me started on that useless ending. All of it was just a horrible choice after another. Blah

Slow beginning! The world building is a bit muddled, I feel like I learned more from the summary than at all from the book
