Let the female rage burn on! I'm a huge fan of the historical/medical genre especially when reframed through a female perspective. I loved the two stranded narrative from Susan and Nelly's POV. Both women suffer greatly but what is done to Susan - the young wife of a surgeon- in the name of science, is horrific. It made me think about all the women, men, and children through the ages who have been forced to participate in medical trials without even knowing it. This is why ethics must he studied alongside science. The book does lag little just after the halfway point but not enough to detract.

Once upon the YA trend was dystopia...now it is puzzle/game based mysteries. It takes a lot to set yourself apart in this saturated market...this is alright...some clunky writing. Too many characters so not developed well. Bit too convoluted for me. Twist at the end was neat.
