I loved this so much, it is incredibly well written and Diana’s characterization is just perfect. I found it to be a beautiful story about mother and daughter, fate, and leaving the nest. Also lots of fun Greek mythology references.

It was okay, had a lot of kinda horror vibes going on and Jason’s whole storyline felt really weird. I also kinda felt there was a lot of unnecessary brutalization of women. Specifically there is a part where a bunch of half dressed women are shown all murdered and bloodied. It felt icky like they were somehow still trying to make their bodies look sexy while being dead and dismembered. The whole thing just kinda gives me bad vibes as a woman, the way they handled using these situations just wasn’t good.

This had terrible characterization for Batman, he’s abusive and an ass. Also this comic had so much sexism. I’m pretty sure every single female character was sexualized in some way. As someone who’s been reading nightwing and Batman stuff for a while if you’re looking for a place to start this is not it.

Thank you to NetGalley and IDW publishing for this eARC of Hotel Limbo (Book 1) by Ben Harel.
This was a fun snappy graphic novel about a mysterious hotel in the afterlife. I enjoyed the changing art styles, it kept things fresh and interesting to look at. Some details were a bit too subtle for me and I didn’t notice them until a second pass of the book. I really like all of the character designs and the humor throughout the story, and I’ll definitely be following this up to see where the story leads.

I think this a great story of the beginnings of Batman and Robin not just as hero’s but as father and son. The art style is very charming and I loved the subplot with social services. It added an extra element of realism and modernized the original idea of Dick being Bruce’s ward. I think this story was super cute and fun <3

I think the story was overall well executed but I feel they deeply mischaracterized Jason as a kid. It was also only three comics which didn’t give much room to work with. Although I loved the original Robin and Batman I wouldn’t recommend this one.
