the author did a good job of showing distinct personalities coming together to form a dysfunctional family. Interesting read. I liked the concept of a family being bound to the land it lived on

The lyrical and poetic writing style is just incredible. It is long-winded, but I enjoy the twists and turns of every ambling sentence.
