Iām not entirely sure how I feel about this book. I want to say I really liked it but also felt like I wanted more. The characters were great and I love a Carmilla retelling in a modern day I just felt I wanted more. Overall the book was enjoyable and easy to read. There is some spicy scenes as well.

I am always put off by the novel Lolita and the mention of it in the chapter made me visibly retchā¦.

Had to DNF this one. I waited almost a year for this hold to come in from the library so Iām devastated⦠I just could not get past the characters⦠I really donāt care for them or about them. I was hoping for the rivals to lovers and the yearning everyone talked about but it just didnāt work for me.

I was drawn to this book because sapphic vampires and I was not disappointed! I have read Addie LaRue and I honestly didnāt really like it so I was nervous to try this out but this blew me away! I loved the deeply flawed characters and really seeing how their lives become interconnected. I loved that there was a constant force weaving them together across the whole story. This book combined may things I love and it will haunt me for many years to come. I will say at first I was unsure about the varying viewpoints since we were unsure how they all weaved together but once that connection was made I was in awe. I felt less connected with Alice for most of the story until the end when she discovered how much of a pawn she truly was and how she was willing to take her life back to the best of her ability. This book definitley provided Interview with the Vampire vibes and I loved for it. Now Iāll be in a book hangover for some timeā¦
