Iâve been listening to the series with MacLeod Andrews as the narrator. He does such an amazing job at categorizing the characters into different voice archetypes that really let their personality shine. This audiobook is unfortunately not read by him, which has been fine, but I would say Jayfeatherâs voice is so jarringly different that it really takes me out of it. In the previous books, Andrews makes Jayfeather sound so cranky and criticizing but now he just sounds old and wise? Itâs such a weird shift in character for him.
