    Wowza!

I bought this ebook on sale back when this story was buzzing.

I knew it was post-apocalyptic, one of my favorite world types.

I knew someone stole a dog and that action would forever change lives.

I knew that I really loved the cover art.

Reading this story had me twisting and turning throughout. Fletcher’s end of the world scenario felt authentic.

If you like dystopias, I think knowing less about this story ahead of reading it is the way to go.

Yay! I’m going to go check your review out. I need to reread this book, and when I do, I know I’ll be posting to the forum, but carefully because I’ll be looking for things that I know about now, but wouldn’t want to spoil for anyone else. But yes, more people need to read this book. For sure!

😲 That’s amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever reread a book right after finishing it. And I’m definitely getting the audiobook. Did not know the author reads it himself.

Omg, this book. It got under my skin. It lives there now. I don't know how I feel about it. It's poetic. It's wild. It's terribly anxiety-inducing. It's a gentle, healing story full of love and loyalty and hope. It's emotionally violent, and full of emotional learning. It's misleading and frustrating, foreshadowing, intriguing and clever. It gives you whiplash.

I love it. I hate it. It will haunt me.

    Read it. That is all.

(OK that's not quite all - if you can get it on audio, do so. The author narrates it himself, and it's fantastically read!)
