Valentines Slay by Navessa Allen really said “happy Valentine’s Day… but make it feral” 💘🔪✨

the PERFECT ending to this little standalone series 🤗 i was so excited for this one and i loved every single second of it. it just had that grand finale energy. bigger. bolder. slightly unhinged in the best way.

the tension? immaculate. the romance? addictive. the vibes? dark, delicious, and just a little bit unholy 🖤

i genuinely cant say much more without spoiling the fun but just… amazing. the kind of book that grabs you by the collar, kisses you dramatically, and then disappears into the night like it didn’t just ruin your standards.

    obsessed. end of discussion 💌

Death to Valentine’s Day absolutely threw me on an emotional rollercoaster and I did not want off 🎢💘🔪

I’ve been excited for this one ever since I heard it was ex boyfriend’s brother because that trope?? Immediate yes. I was READY. But somehow it was even better than I expected.

It’s romance… but with that little thread of mystery running through it that keeps you on edge. I wasn’t just swooning, I was suspicious. I was side eyeing everyone. I was INVESTED. 🕵️‍♀️💔

    And the twist???

    WTF.

I actually gasped. Like full on shocked. I did not see that coming at all and I loved that it caught me off guard.

The chemistry was so good. The tension?? Perfect. The emotional moments hit exactly where they needed to. It had softness, intensity, and just enough danger to make everything feel heightened.

    I loved it. Truly.

Can I give it more than 5 stars? Because I would if I could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐➕

A Play for Love by Trilina Pucci absolutely swept me off my feet and spun me around like I was in the final scene of a rom-com 💃💘

OMGGG I loved this one. I ate it up. Devoured. No crumbs. 🥺✨ It was so adorable and amazing and I genuinely don’t even know how to form intelligent thoughts about it because my brain is just pink glitter right now.

The chemistry? Chef’s kiss. The banter? So good. The swoony moments? I was MELTING. Every interaction had that little spark that makes you grin at your screen like you’re personally involved in their love story. And I loved everything. Not one thing I would change. Not a single detail.

It’s one of those books that just feels right from start to finish. Soft but exciting. Cute but with that kick of tension that keeps you locked in. My heart was fully invested and happily held hostage the entire time 🫶

Easy 5 stars. No notes. Just vibes and butterflies. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕

Second Act Romance by Julie Soto

I’m not even going to pretend here… I finished this and immediately my brain went ✨windows shutdown sound✨ 😅

I genuinely cannot remember a single specific thing that happened. Not one scene. Not one quote. Not one moment that made me clutch my chest or kick my feet. It just… existed. And then it was over.

The writing style and I simply did not vibe. You know when a book feels like you’re trying to tune into a radio station but it’s just static with occasional words? That was me the entire time. I kept waiting for that spark, that little “oooh here we go” feeling. It never arrived.

Was it terrible? No. Was I hooked? Also no. Did I finish it? Yes. Did I feel anything when I closed it? …also no 😅

It wasn’t bad-bad, but it didn’t pull me in, didn’t make me swoon, didn’t make me spiral. It just sat there politely while I read it.

Time Will Tell by Hannah Bonam-Young absolutely wrapped me up like a soft vintage quilt and then gently snapped my heart in half before stitching it back together with gold thread 🧵💔✨

This was an absolute adorable story. Like the kind that makes you clutch the book to your chest and whisper “stop it” while smiling like an idiot 🥹📖

When I found out it was the grandmother’s ex’s grandson situation I was READY for drama. I fully thought the ex was going to be some long-lost grandfather plot twist… but NO. Instead we got something so much more beautiful and heartbreaking. They were lesbians. In a time where that simply wasn’t allowed. And that reveal? It hit me straight in the ribs. 🌈💌

The way the past and present intertwined felt so tender. It wasn’t just romance romance. It was love across generations. Love that had to hide. Love that sort of survived anyway. I was unwell.

This story broke my heart… and then carefully pierced it back together. Like emotional surgery but make it soft and hopeful 🫀✨

Hannah Bonam-Young really said “let’s make them cry but in a wholesome way” and I fell for it completely.

Accidentally Yours by Christina Lauren really said “what if one tiny email mistake spirals into destiny?” and I ate it UP 😭💌💻

First of all… HOW did I not know Christina Lauren is actually two authors??? My brain short-circuited for a second. Two queens in a trench coat writing chaos and romance?? Iconic. Anyway. Moving on.

This was so adorable and funny in that slightly unhinged rom-com way I live for. Her accidentally interrupting his Zoom call had me physically cringing and giggling at the same time. The secondhand embarrassment? Exquisite. And then she just… gets a job out of it?? Girl turned mortification into employment. Career goals honestly 💼😂

And the way she specifically asked for a desk chair??? I don’t know why that detail sent me into orbit but it did. Something about the audacity. The practicality. The confidence. I was SOLD. 🪑🤣

The banter was sharp, the chemistry was there, and the whole thing felt warm and swoony without losing the humor. It’s one of those reads that just feels light in your hands but still gives you all the cute little heart flutters.

Royal Valentine by Sariah Wilson really said “let’s add a crown, a castle, and Valentine chaos” and I was seated immediately 👑💌🏰✨

This was such a fun little royal escape. Give me glittering events, a swoony prince, and Valentine vibes that practically sparkle in pink and red and I’m already invested 💕🌹 The whole setup was adorable. The romance? Soft. Sweet. The kind that makes you smile at your book like you’re personally invited to the palace ball. 🥰💖

That said… the writing style wasn’t fully my thing 😅 The Scottish elements and dialect sometimes made it a bit harder for me to sink into the story. Instead of gliding through the pages, I felt like I was occasionally slowing down to adjust. Not terrible, just not a style I completely adored.

But the STORY itself? Really cute. Charming. Cozy. A little royal daydream wrapped in Valentine glitter. It didn’t sweep me entirely off my feet, but it definitely kept me entertained and smiling for a few lovely hours 👑✨💌

With Any Luck by Ashley Poston absolutely said “what if we add chaos to a wedding and call it romance?” and I was seated immediately 💐🎲😂

This was such a very quick, funny little read. I basically blinked and it was over. The whole where the f is the groom situation had me INVESTED like I was personally on the wedding planning committee. A tiny sprinkle of mystery in my rom-com? Yes please. 🕵️‍♀️💍

The banter was sharp, the vibes were chaotic in the best way, and the ending??? I was actually laughing out loud. Not a polite nose exhale. A full, unhinged cackle in my room.

I did wish we got a little more depth and time with everything, because it felt over way too fast.
