Somehow this book is both exactly what I expected it to be, and completely surprising at the same time. Curious to see how this will continue!

This is hard to review, especially since I don't read memoirs that often.
This was a well written book and the author does a great job taking the readers through different thoughts, feelings, and parts of her life. It is heartbreaking, terrifying, and likely relatable in various ways to alot of people.
It is a book about hunger, but also of fear, rage, safety, race, and a lot more and while it is well done, there were chapters and topics I wish had been explored a bit more.
It is a hard book to read emotionally and the author is not sugarcoating anything, but it is excellent and while I didn't like everything, I am glad I read it.

I wasn't sure what to expect of this book and I don't read memoirs too often but this is very interesting, though rough to read at times.

This was such an eerie and creepy read! I didn't always know what was going on plotwise but didn't mind too much. The characters were intriguing, and the atmosphere unforgettable!
The pacing and writing style was also very good and while I usually end up wishing that novellas were longer, this felt fitting.

This book was an absolute delight to read! It is so cozy and and gentle while being interesting and funny. Despite being a short read it also feels complete and full and just right!
It might not be the most original story, but I don't really care. It's lovely, and a very comforting and sweet read.

This was a cute, fun, and entertaining read! It's a bit messy and angsty at times but in a fun well written way.
The characters are fun, the plot a mix of classic and original, and I will always happily read a book with asexual representation!
Overall, it's fun, it's engaging, it's cliché but not overdone, and I had a good time reading it!

This was a beautifully written book! The plot was a little confusing at times but overall good. The language, writing style, and atmosphere were just stunning though!
The characters are also well written and it was easy to feel engaged in the story. My main problem was that the pace felt a bit too fast and rushed at times and there were some things I wish had been explored more, but that is often the case when I read novellas.
Overall though, this was a pretty good book and I will likely recommend it to several people.
