hey everyone!!!! my college is requiring me to do five weeks of work experience so that i can graduate my library and information technology program. the problem is, i live in a very rural area where there aren't many libraries, and the one nearest to me refuses to take student jobs or volunteers since the beginning of the covid pandemic. does anyone have any tips on where i could do work experience (related to books and libraries), how i could go about contacting potential businesses, etc? i'm supposed to find one by the end of the month!
UPDATE: my local bookstore has reached out to me saying they'd love to take me on for work experience! if all other businesses I've reached out to aren't able to take me on, i will choose this one!!! hooray!

I knew going into this that it was set in our current times, and yet itâs still terrifying at how accurate Butler was at predicting what life might be like in 2024

The manga She Loves to Cook and She Loves to Eat is perfect for this! Itâs a sapphic too!

God reading this book is just making me more and more glad that I grew up and still live in a super diverse area. What's the point of having a stellar education if you're view of the world is so skewed and ugly. Like how productive of a member of society can you really be when you only respect your own group (in this case white americans).
