I really enjoyed this!! From the very start I knew I was going to love Morgan, from the moment she "tripped" on that douchebag. Then my god, so much happens!! I loved her inner fire and strength, her empathy for others and just genuine care shines through, despite everything she goes through. Scylla was an amazing character too, her history made me immediately feel for her and I just wanted her to find happiness and her person. I loved how she was soft for Morgan, but she would very easily kill anyone who might cause harm to her. She was a complex character who yearned for connection but never thought she'd get it, yet when Morgan wonders into her cave, very quickly a mate bond takes hold of both of them.
NOW LEMME TELL YOU, that mate bond almost had me begging because I was wanting them to hurry up and freaking mate. BUT WHEN IT HAPPENED, OOOWEEE, not only did it feel right for the characters but it was a great scene! Also, I freaking loooooooved the egg scene too, 10/10. Adorable couple and I am so glad they found each other, because they both deserve all the happiness and love.

This book captured my heart and ran away with it. I fell utterly in love with Ronnie and Nev. I feel like I know them personally, and I always miss them. Their stories were told through dual POV and a mixture of past and present. Ronnie is a single mum, trying to rebuild her life, find who she is in the world, and reconnect with her daughter, Rainbow. Nev is a hardworking sheep farmer who used to be an ex-war photographer, her heart made of gold despite her hardened exterior.
Their story together takes place over years, as we follow them both through life as they navigate many messy and complexly difficult situations, not to mention their relationship with each other. This book handles so many difficult themes, and whilst it doesn't shy away from them, it also never loses its sense of hope. You can't help but completely root for these women, for their families and friends. They have such an amazing dynamic together; it almost feels like grumpy/sunshine, and the banter between them was utterly phenomenal. The way the scenery of outback Australia was described was also breathtaking and felt incredibly realistic; you can just tell the author has a genuine appreciation for the place.
I cannot wait for the next book; I desperately need to know what happens next in the journey for Ronnie and Nev. I miss them already.

I am utterly in love with Asha and Sonja! They stole my heart so quickly, and this book had me squealing with delight.
Firstly, I loved the representation in this book, and I found so much of it incredibly relatable. Asha is our autistic demisexual MC, and it just felt like it was written so well. I found myself just nodding constantly and relating so heavily to Asha and how she experiences the world. If I didn't directly relate, it immediately reminded me of my partner. So I was literally delighted continuously. I loved that she was also an artist and how authentic she felt in general.
Sonja was amazing; I found her to be extremely lovable too, and again, I related a lot to her in a different way. She's someone who feels a little lost in her path, and I loved the journey she went on throughout this book to figure out the right choices for her to be happy and finally feel like she belonged.
Together they were 🥹 just everything. They complemented each other so beautifully, even if they were in the middle of the slowest burn. It was so worth it!
While this is a sports romance (and you guessed it, I know nothing of this sport), I found it super easy to read and actually enjoyed all of those aspects too. I even felt myself cheering for the Blizzards.
A special shout-out to the star of the book, Iolo, who's just the cutest pupper ever. I also loved getting updates on the couple from the first book.
Overall, this book blew me away; it made me so happy to read, and I just loved every aspect of it. I simply adore Asha and Sonja!
