Fictional books that feel like a warm hug, featuring magic and whimsy and perfectly happy endings. These are lower on stakes and higher on good vibes!

Books with clocks. I wanted to build a list that centers around clocks, time, and clock makers. Did I mention clocks? PLEASE leave any recommendations because I love this topic and need to find more.

The further through this book I get, the more I realise just how many layers there are to every word and sentence written, meaning nestled amongst them all. So much to think about and unpack. Words woven tightly together. Life and death, the grief that comes from experiencing both. I’m reading this book slower than my normal book absorption speed, but I’m glad for it. It asks of you to slow down I think, to take the time you need to process the words it gives you. Play a game of pass the parcel, peal back its layers and learn to wait patiently for your turn to get a little gift.

I love checking out the library updates and seeing such interesting books on my feed. Only on PB do I get to see such a diverse collection of titles many that are super niche and on topics I never would have come across in my own or on any other platform. The science of colors, monster smut, textiles, two-spirit indigenous practices, etc...
I've been reading so much more this year. Y'all have really diversified my books and also helped to increase the number of non-fic books read by a whole lot (I've been trying to for years but never have been as successful as I am rn).
Just a shout out to you all.❤️. Y'all are so cool. Your tastes are so cool. I wish I could yoink them all without getting overwhelmed 🤭
