Post from the The Coming of the Third Reich (The History of the Third Reich, #1) forum
Almost every chapter feels like you could draw direct comparisons to today in the US. In a recent chapter it mentioned oppositional newspapers covering both real and imagined crimes against pro-republic politicians to undercut them, as well as putting a heavy focus on murders the crime trials to help paint the country as having a crime issue.
It talks about feminist groups losing members and support after women were given the right to vote and the ability to work most jobs. Those groups became mainly older women who lived through the periods before the treaty, while younger middle class women didn't see the need. Looking forward to the rest of the book and the rest of the trilogy.

This is an introduction to modern poetry, with a focus on breadth of voices and styles rather than depth. In the words of Leonard Cohen, "poetry is just the evidence of life...if your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash." This quest is for those who love poetry, hate poetry, want to write it, read it, or perhaps have nothing to do with it (or all of that at once)!
