The book was…. Okay. It was interesting, but the characters sorta all blended together. No one had a unique voice. In a sense they were also formulaic, like no character growth. As it’s set up like an interview we are basically just told what happens. I almost wish it wasn’t an interview setup.

Recommend me a book you love!

I am yet to have a 5 star read this year, which is very rare for me as it is usually one of the most common ratings i give books (i am an optimistic rater LOL)

so!! convince me to read a book you loved, sell me on it! i read pretty much anything and everything, and my TBR listed here is all books i own if you want to take a look, but i am very open to any and all recs.

Books that star mythical creatures other than dragons

Lately I've been thinking that there are so many fantasy stories (in multiple media) that revolve around dragons, be they the protagonists or mounts for humans... and in a lot of cases, they're the only mythical creatures in the setting. (eg: Dragonriders of Pern, How to Train Your Dragon, Wings of Fire...) There's nothing wrong with that, but I like variety.

Can you think of any books that revolve around (non-humanoid) mythical creatures other than dragons? Off the top of my head...

Book recs?

Hi everyone, just wanted to know if any of you have any books to recommend Thriller, murder mystery Love Holly Jackson Preferably YA, or not YA but no smut Preferably not a huge series with 7+ books And I would love smth LGBTQ+

I am also planning on reading Karen McManus series “one of us is lying” and “two can keep a secret” and I wonder if maybe any of you have some reviews so I generally understand what to expect

I think this book would benifit from having like a list of characters and who they are, so you can go back and refrence who is who. (And what their job is). Also a timeline. Also… like… I dunno. Maybe as a show too? Instead of a book? Mockumentary type thing
