Perhaps this is not my type of book. I hate not finishing books but now I'm very much considering it. I've spent so long on just 120 pages oof. What am I not getting?

A beautiful book revealing Astrid Løken's important work both for our bumblebees but also for the Norwegian nation during the war. Beautifully illustrated and with clever parallels between the ecology of bumblebees and the life of a young woman facing war.

Perhaps the my only complaint is feeling like the story was running in all directions, and I think a chapter system could give the story more space in between the different themes throughout the book. I also would be very interested in more in depth stories of Astrid, but I'm guessing the source material is quite limited.

The jumping between characters/timelines is a little hard to follow at times because there is no clear definition to show when it changes. But I don't know if that is because I am used to reading books where there is a clear break/marked definition when we are jumping times/characters/places.
